Application Tips

We know that finding a new job can feel daunting at times, so we try to keep our hiring process as clear and straightforward as possible.

Our Recruitment Process

Our recruitment process usually consists of four or five steps, each with a specific purpose. After submitting your application, here’s what you can expect:

  1. Video call with Human Resources

Congratulations! We’re interested in your profile and want to set up a video call to learn more about each other. The goal here is for both you and us to share everything we need to know in order to get the recruitment process off the ground.

How to prepare for this step

Do some research about Brevo ahead of time and feel free to ask questions about the company and the role you’re applying to.

Add important details about the experiences you listed on your resume. We’ve read your resume, but this is a chance for you to walk us through the most relevant parts of your career and tell the story of why you’re applying to this position at Brevo.

Find a calm, quiet place without distractions.
Don’t stress! This first call is casual — two professionals giving each other the information they need!

  2. Interview with Hiring Manager

Here you can expect to discuss your past experiences, answer some questions about how you’d do things if hired at Brevo, and ask any technical questions you might have about the position.

How to prepare for this step

During this interview, you’ll be asked to explain your prior experiences, share your achievements, and discuss what challenges you’ve faced in your career. Explain what in your eyes qualifies you for the role and explain what you’d contribute to the Brevo team.

  3. Case study or Role play

Depending on the type of role you’re applying for, you’ll have a case study to complete on your own time or a role play to work on with some team members. This step helps us understand how you work in the context of the role you’re applying for.

How to prepare for this step

    • Case study: We’ll send you an email with all the instructions and materials you need to complete the task. Don’t hesitate to ask questions. If there’s a deadline, we’ll let you know.
    • Role play: We’ll send you an email with instructions roughly 24 hours before the scheduled role play. We recommend you take a look at the task as soon as possible to make sure we have time to answer any questions.
  4. Interview with Department Chief

Now’s the time to talk about your career aspirations! Where do you see yourself in a few years’ time? What types of projects would you like to have accomplished by then? How can Brevo play a part in your professional development?

How to prepare for this step

Here, you should build on what you discussed in the previous interview by clearly outlining your professional aspirations. What kind of career do you want to build for yourself? Given your past experiences, why does this role at Brevo make sense for you?

  5. Getting to know each other

Have a casual conversation with your future colleagues! Collaboration is always easier when you know the teams better.

How to prepare for this step

Take this opportunity with your potential future team to ask any unanswered questions. Considering everything covered in the first four steps, is there anything left you to want to say about yourself or ask about the position?

Please note that the number and order of these steps may change depending on the hiring team and candidate’s availability.

How to make your application stand out

Do your research Image

Do your research

Make an effort to get to know Brevo! Having an understanding of our product, industry, and values helps both of us know whether you’d be a good fit for the role.

Keep your resume short and sweet Image

Keep your resume short and sweet

No need to list every project you’ve done since high school and how it made you the person you are today! Your resume should feature your most relevant experiences, where they were, and how long they lasted. Feel free to include a short summary of your professional style and aspirations. Please be sure to add your contact information, too. We also accept LinkedIn profiles (in PDF format) in lieu of resumes.

Find the right position Image

Find the right position

We’re hiring for many different roles, so be sure to take a look at all your options. You can search by department, location, or contract type on our careers site. Can’t find the right position? Feel free to send a spontaneous application mentioning what you’re looking for. On the other hand, don’t hesitate to apply to multiple positions if you find more than one that matches your profile.
